                                    An Unsung Hero

There are many people that have done great things for the world and are not praised or thanked for it. For example, President Lyndon B Johnson, helped Martin Luther King a lot including talking him into doing some great things he did. He has truly helped shape today's world. He is not thanked as much as some other people from that time are, but he should be.

President Lyndon Johnson signed a very important document into law. It was very significant that this law was passed because it was another step towards racial equality for African Americans. Martin Luther King stood over President Lydon's shoulder while he signed the Act into law. Then they talked for a while and became somewhat friends. President Lyndon B Johnson thought that racial inequality was unfair. So he decided to fight for the right to racial equality after a lot of work he signed the Voting Rights Act of 1965 into law. Even though he knew it would get a lot of people mad at him and some of them might even try to hurt him, that is how much he wanted racial inequality throughout the world to end.

President Lyndon B Johnson wanted to accomplish stopping racial inequality and poverty or at least get closer to it, while he was in office. Lyndon signed many laws that helped towards racial equality. Lyndons whole time in office he tried to focus on trying to stop poverty and racial injustice. He accomplished amazing things and he got America a few steps closer to complete racial equality. Lydon did most of what he wanted in office. He was proud he signed many forms into law that nudged America in the right direction. He used many methods to try and effect change one of them was teaming up with Civil Rights activists like Martin Luther King Jr and many other people once other African Americans saw people finally stand up for them a lot more activists started marching and fighting for racial equality. While Lyndon was in office he said, “Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.” In my opinion, this perfectly represents what Lyndon did while he was in office.

He is an unsung hero because he is not appreciated as much as he should be for what he did in office he did so much in the office that is not talked about and definitely should be he really helped America and I think he should have a memorial for him because Lyndon Johnson did a lot for our country and we would not be where we are today in our march for total racial equality if it was not for him. Although as President Lyndon said while he was in office “Yesterday is not ours to recover but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.” So if it is as little as drawing a picture of him I thank you for it.

Do you think President Lyndon is an unsung hero? He did some amazing things while he was in office and we should all be thanking him that is why in my eyes he is an unsung hero. Do you know any other unsung heroes that should be thanked? Write it in the comments. Again anything as just saying thank you to him in your head is good because he did many great things that are not appreciated. This is soccer dog and that is it for today.

  1. I think it's good how he wanted to end racism and I also want to end it because it still happens and all humans should have equal rights.
